DESCRIPTION:Communities anticipating participation in the State of South Ca
 rolina’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program\, Economic Devel
 opment Program\, and the Federal HUD HOME Program must provide for partici
 pation of their citizens in the planning and implementation of CDBG\, Econ
 omic Development\, and HUD HOME-funded projects\, in accordance with Title
  I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974\, as amended throu
 gh 1987. Therefore\, a Citizens Participation Plan has been developed for 
 Lee County for the purpose of providing the citizens of this locality with
  a written\, detailed plan for their participation in the planning and imp
 lementation of community and economic development projects which may invol
 ve CDBG and HOME funds. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday\, January 2
 7\, 2022\, at 6:00 p.m.\, the Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governmen
 ts\, on behalf of Town of Lynchburg\, will hold a Virtual Public Hearing v
 ia Teleconference call at 1-877-594-8353\, using the participant code: 423
 90843. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to review and solicit public c
 omment on the afore-mentioned Citizens Participation Plan\, and to solicit
  public input on community needs and priorities for housing\, public facil
 ities\, economic development\, water/sewer facilities\, public safety comp
 onents\, and job creation with a Needs Assessment Survey\, to also include
  the prevention and assistance during the COVID-19 crisis. The Citizen Par
 ticipation Plan is available for review at the Lynchburg Town Hall\, Lynch
 burg\, S.C.\, and the Santee-Lynches RCOG Office\, 2525 Corporate Way\, Su
 ite 200\, Sumter\, SC between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.\, Monda
 y through Friday. Persons with questions or comments concerning the Public
