DESCRIPTION:CDBG 2020 JOINT PLANNING GRANT APPLICATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIV
 EN that on Thursday\, April 27\, 2022\, at 6:30 pm\, the Santee-Lynches Re
 gional Council of Governments\, on behalf of Sumter County\, will hold a “
 virtual” public hearing. This Public Hearing concerns an application to be
  submitted to the South Carolina Department of Commerce\, Grants Administr
 ation on or about May 6\, 2022\, for a Community Development Block Grant\,
  Sumter County is requesting $50\,000 to carry out the following activitie
 s: Development of Administrative project management and planning capacitie
 s to identify community needs\, proposed goals and objectives\, and develo
 p COG staff capacity and carry out local government CDBG projects. Anyone 
 interested in joining the public hearing through remote access should call
  877-594-8353. When prompted\, you should enter the Participant Pass Code:
  42390843. This Public Hearing and the matters to be discussed are subject
  to the provisions of the Citizen Participation Plans\, developed in antic
 ipation of participation in the State of South Carolina’s Community Develo
 pment Block Grant (CDBG) Program\, providing for the participation of the 
 citizens of Sumter\, Clarendon\, Kershaw and Lee Counties in the planning 
 and implementation of community and economic development projects which wi
 ll involve CDBG funds. The Citizen Participation Plans and the Application
  are available for review at the Sumter County Administrative Offices\, be
 tween the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm\, Monday through Friday.  Persons w
 ith questions or comments concerning the Public Hearing or the Citizen Par
