NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CDBG 2020 JOINT PLANNING GRANT APPLICATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Thursday, April 27, 2022, at 6:30 pm, the Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governments, on behalf of Sumter County, will hold a “virtual” public hearing. This Public Hearing concerns an application to be submitted to the South Carolina Department of Commerce, Grants Administration on or about May 6, 2022, for a Community Development Block Grant, Sumter County is requesting $50,000 to carry out the following activities:
Development of Administrative project management and planning capacities to identify community needs, proposed goals and objectives, and develop COG staff capacity and carry out local government CDBG projects.

This Public Hearing and the matters to be discussed are subject to the provisions of the Citizen Participation Plans, developed in anticipation of participation in the State of South Carolina’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, providing for the participation of the citizens of Sumter, Clarendon, Kershaw and Lee Counties in the planning and implementation of community and economic development projects which will involve CDBG funds.
The Citizen Participation Plans and the Application are available for review at the Sumter County Administrative Offices, between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
