AAA Area Plan 2017-2021

The Health and Human Services Department (HHS), is a division of Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governments.  HHS includes the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and the Aging and Disabilities Resource Center (ADRC).  These programs are designed to enhance independence and improve the health and wellness of older adults and individuals with disabilities living in Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter counties.  

The role of the AAA is to plan, coordinate, administer and assess a comprehensive and coordinated delivery system of services to older persons.

The Santee-Lynches AAA/ADRC is the focal point on aging issues and our goal is to provide older adults and their caregivers with information that will enable them to receive the support they need to make healthy choices and live with dignity.
